Since 2000, Porton Group has funded the commercialization of a number of technologies alongside its UK public sector partners. The portfolio has been diverse and has included investments in material science, medical diagnostics, bio-markers, printable semiconductors, metabolite detection, optical sensing, renewable energy, fuel cells, biometrics, as well as novel audio and security technologies.  Porton Group has experienced portfolio success and challenges in equal part. Its current focus is primarily in cyber security applications, including secure communications, secure IoT, big data and advanced network threat analysis.
